Half centuries from Nick Connolly 51 & George Hadfield 59 and with support from Matthew Race 35, Paul Malone 34 & Sam Storr 30 led to 276-8 off the allotted 50 overs. Even 5 wkts for Marcus Anthony couldn’t stop the Yorkshire CCC U18s player, Alex Cree, from hitting a Bradford CL individual best score of the season 169* and securing the victory with a 6 into the car park with 3 balls left of the innings. The 2XI were just down the road at Wakefield St Michaels, who won the toss and elected to bat. 3-46 for Steve Coulthard & 2-25 for Gurnoor Singh held WSM to 171-6 off the allotted 45 overs. Great batting by the youngsters Ben Coulthard 43 & Hussain Khan 21 started the chase and then big hitting Leigh Learie joins the party and scores 59* off 30 balls to take us over the victory line!
