They now also brew Lager 🍺🍺🍺 And you thought we only made ale…😉 YON LAGER - The first lager we have ever produced at Ossett 🍻 What can I expect? ⬇️ A crisp, refreshing session lager with low bitterness and a hint of sweetness. Each batch carefully crafted to produce a true Helles-style lager brewed using German ingredients. Available to buy in can or if you are over North Yorkshire way try it on draught at the Hop in York or Cross Keys in Knaresborough. What does Yon mean? ⬇️ Yon translates as ‘4’ in Japanese, influenced by the time our co-owner spent living in Japan. The number four signifies: (1) The strength of this lager (2) The four ingredients used (3) The minimum number of weeks we condition our lager Yon is an old word used in our Yorkshire heartland meaning ‘over there’ as in ‘over yon’.
