The river is extremely high and according to the Environmnet Agency's website, more rain is expected. The pumps on Parklands which ensure the beck that flows behind Reid Park Avenue is kept manageable, are working well. Wakefield Council, residents and me are monitoring the situation. Yorkshire Water have been made aware of their responsibilities to all residents across our Ward. Please keep safe and away from the river at this moment.
