  4. We know you've all been waiting for this line up. No its not Saturdays Team to face Saddleworth this is all about who is on the sofa (well chairs) with Callum tonight. After last week we knew it had to be big so we have to hot stepping wingers fresh from our victory over Thornhill at the weekend. Dangerous Dave Diskin and even more dangerouser Declan Casey. Dave has been with us for 3 years or so and Dec is a new signing from Batley Boys so tune in at 2045 at half time of the Sky Sports Live game of Leeds Rhinos v Dragons Catalans Officiel which is live on in the club at 8pm kick off.   6. Please welcome Josh Waldram to Ossett United. Josh is an exciting midfielder who joins us from Belper Town and has also previously played for Mickleover Sports in the league above. We would like to thank Belper Town for their professionalism in getting the move through. Manager Jas Colliver says “Josh is an athletic midfield player who played an integral part of Belper Town’s fabulous start to the season. He is someone who played in every game until an injury. New Tree Carving lights up Carr Lodge Park Wakefield Council's Street Scene Project Officers linked in with Cllr Darren Byford and The Friends of Horbury Parks to make the most of an old Beech tree that has stood in the park for many years, but most had to be removed for H&S reasons. The works were carried out by experienced tree carver Karl Barker from Yorkshire Carving, who created the contemporary artwork from the remaining stump. Positive comments were expressed both during and after the works. It now gives a focal point as people walk around the park as they stop and admire the creative sculpture.View the full article

  15. Training with a difference, the pitch is waterlogged so today we took the Tigers on tour. We paraded the boys round Ossett with some Fartlek training, but with a twist. The lads loved the bonding as it was a team effort so no man was left behind in their given teams. We are thinking outside the box to give the lads different training methods to make sure the get more out of each session. View the full article
