If you looked in the Oxford dictionary this afternoon for a brief period of 60mins on a field in Oldham you could of looked up the word determination you would of seen a photo of todays Team of Ossett Trinity Tigers. Today we went over to @saddleworthrangers to play a against a well established NCL club. We knew their 2nds would be a strong outfit and they would be young, strong and very well drilled. This was absolutely the case and after 15mins they raced into a 12 nil lead. On 20mins the Tigers clicked what we had been working on all week with the fact our pitch was waterlogged we have done 2 team building sessions, and this was certainly evident as the lads played Saddleworth off the park. The lads ran in 5 tries through Adam Newby getting his Hat-trick, Brad Saville and Sam Williamson getting over the whitewash 1 each. Today young Sammy Thompson took over the kicking duties and slotted over 4 on only his 2nd open age game. With that in mind young Sammy Thompson also did himself and the team proud by getting the man of the match. Coach Dyson was happy with result but the thing he was happiest with was how the lads stuck together and how the young lads have integrated into the squad. We move onto next week with our first league game at home to Wibsey Warriors. Saddleworth Rangers 16 Ossett Trinity Tigers 28 As Always Up The Tigers View the full article

Please welcome Josh Waldram to Ossett United. Josh is an exciting midfielder who joins us from Belper Town and has also previously played for Mickleover Sports in the league above. We would like to thank Belper Town for their professionalism in getting the move through. Manager Jas Colliver says “Josh is an athletic midfield player who played an integral part of Belper Town’s fabulous start to the season. He is someone who played in every game until an injury. Josh is a great age, has bags of energy and is looking to kick on again with his football.” Josh says “I’m really pleased to have joined Ossett United, looking forward to getting started and contributing towards the “mini season” we have left to play”. https://www.ossettutd.com/news/article/new-signing-josh-waldram/ View the full article
