Ossett News Posted June 10, 2022 Report Share Posted June 10, 2022 WF Happy Healthy Holidays aims to keep children and young people active during the school holidays by providing free enriching activities and healthy food for children in Reception class to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals. Over the course of 2022, the DfE is grant funding Wakefield Council to coordinate free holiday provision which will cover the Easter, summer, October and Christmas holidays. Wakefield Council will fund, co-ordinate, and support local delivery by voluntary community organisations, schools and local authority teams. We will be looking to grant fund providers up to a maximum of £20,000 to deliver enriching activities and healthy food to eligible children through the Summer holiday period.
