Friends of Horbury Cemetery are a local community group and we are looking for new recruits! We meet on a Sunday afternoon & occasionally through the week. Our main activity is maintenance of the cemetery grounds through litter picking, weeding, grave maintenance etc to make it a more welcoming environment. But that's not all we do, we have installed bird and bat boxes and sown wildflowers, installed benches and planters and intend to keep on making improvements to this little area of Horbury. No special skills or abilities are required. Everyone is welcome to come and do what they feel able to do, be it pruning a bush, barrowing stones around or even helping with the admin side of things.
