An amazing start with 3 wickets for 3 runs off 4 overs set us up for an early finish, the opposition were dismissed for 66. Junaid Khan 5 wkts for 22 James Wade sponsored by Aspen Electrical Ltd 2 wkts for 37 Archie Houghton sponsored by First Choice Recruitment 2 wkts for 0. After the break the target was reached with the loss of just 2 wickets with Matthew Race sponsored by Horbury Trade Windows Unit 9 being our top scorer with 25* 2XI After putting Liversedge CC into bat our 2XI were looking in a promising position having taken 8 wickets for only 59 runs. A 9th wicket partnership of 73 helped the home team to a total of 151. The best of our bowlers Luke Watson, sponsored by Brick Bond Northern LTD took 6 wickets for 35 runs. After the break the steady presence of Michael Edwards 67 took us within 48 of the Liversedge total before he was dismissed.
