Our 2XI welcomed Hunslet Nelson CC to Queens Terrace, we won the toss and elected to bat. The red hot conditions took their toll and we were soon languishing at 48-5 with Ollie Whyte (Webmart) on 13. Dan Busfield (Sam Betty) entered the fray😜with 39 off 35 balls including 7 boundaries & a partnership of 77 the total quickly reached 125-6. A partnership of 55 with Tristan Batley-Kyle 22 took the total on to 180-7. Lee Stevenson (Thornton Jones Solicitors) 35* & Ollie Whyte 105* with his maiden senior club century batted out the allotted overs finishing on 241-8. After a well earned break our bowlers, Lee Stevenson 12-4-30-4, Hussain Khan 7-2-20-2 & Mohammad Atta 4.1-0-16-2 ably assisted by runouts from Tom Jenkinson (5Sport Coaching) & Ben Coulthard (Bob Schofield) reduced HNCC to 103 all out. A brilliant day for the lads, 20 points, 7 wins on the bounce and finishing in 5th place by virtue of a lower NRR than East Leeds.
