Ossett News
Sunday was a proud day for Ossett RUFC, as over 45 children were down at Queen's Terrace playing the beautiful game of Rugby. Two games took place, with the Under 12s showing great skill to beat Wath-upon-Dearne, and the under 9s putting in great effort, and a lot of improvement on previous weeks, in losing out to a strong Pontefract team. Meanwhile, on the training pitch, the Girl's rugby team (11-14s) were being put through their paces by Sophie and Donna. All of this was preceded by the smiling faces of the Rookie rugby players (under 6s). Thanks to Wath-upon-Dearne and Pontefract for coming over for the games and the coaches, volunteers and supporters who gave up their Sunday lie in. Massive credit to the children, the weather was mixed to say the least, and not one complaint was heard. The future is bright!
