Ossett News Posted April 7 Report Share Posted April 7 You may have seen comments about a Travellers site being built on some land off Green Lane towards the M1 This land sale is a private transaction and the Council are not involved. The land was sold as in greenbelt and currently used for agriculture. Any change of use will need Planning Permission and then full details will have to be made public. Planning Permission is not a quick process. As we said earlier, this is not something that the Council have been involved with and at this stage we do not know the facts from rumours. We three Councillors would not support any change of land use. Once we have more information we will of course make it known - watch this space.
